Sample digitalization has always presented difficulties for companies concerned about the faithful reproduction of colour in their digital images.
The correct reproduction of colour and the structure of light reflected by an object has always required repeated corrections and attempts before optimal results were reached.
Today 4-Flying has transcended this limitation with the adoption of
multispectral technology. Thanks to multispectral technology, it is possible today to create perfectly faithful images both in light structure and the development and reproduction of colour.
In fact,
this technology unites the measuring ability of a spectrophotometer with the reproductive flexibility of a conventional scanner, assigning to every pixel read by the analysis sensor not the classic RGB values (derived from the type of direct and reflected light that surrounds the object to be reproduced), but a true and accurate reading of the light spectrum reflected by the object. These values are filtered appropriately, then “positioned” correctly in the colour space defined by the light used for illumination, rendering perfect reproduction of colour.
Some time ago,
4-Flying decided to equip its own production division with this technology, offering the clients
multispectral reading service of samples and guaranteeing optimal results in relation to the pre-chosen media.
This "virtual sample" service is now given both internally and at the client's who keeps the machine in his premise, and sends us just the LAB scans (values) of the swatches.
