Why is it necessary to digitize the company?

Companies that have already started a digitisation process are successful on the market.

There are many factors that have led to a new industrial revolution, known as Industry 4.0.

The first step was taken by the computers that allowed to transform an image, a sound, a document in digital format, interpretable by PC, with a consequent saving of costs, time, storage space.
The next step was Internet. The opening and diffusion of the Net has allowed to transfer data and information quickly, instantly. This speed has made consumers hungry, who want to know more and more about the product they want to buy. Navigation via Mobile has strengthened the sharing of this data and changed consumers' purchasing behaviour.
This is because digitisation has become urgent, for at least 10 reasons.

 Internationalization.
Digitalisation erases national borders. Technology allows you to work with foreign markets without being physically present on the territory. E-commerce allows you to sell your products in any country in the world and if we don't do it...others will.
 Demographic Development.
The world's population is constantly increasing and this will save the markets because there will always be an attractive basin, an opportunity, a niche to be explored and covered with its products.
 Mobile imposes digitization.
In Italy, 49.19 million mobile users spend about 6 hours a day online (almost double the time spent in front of the TV). Mobile has transformed business methods and companies must take care of their digital identity with the same care with which they take care of their physical identity in the real world, or rather, with greater attention because...
 Socials confirm it.
Of the 6 hours spent online almost 2 are spent on a social media platform. As often happens, a company's reputation can be severely penalized on social media: a negative opinion, a critical review, a communication defect can lead to unforeseeable consequences.
 Not just smartphones.
In addition to smartphones, computers and tablets, there are many other personal devices with which you can connect to the Net. If we think that 99.4% of physical objects are still not connected we can predict that the expansion that the real world will have to the Web will be unstoppable for many years.
 Aspectations.
As in personal relationships, customers expect a lot from digitization, they demand fast and truthful information. Those who work in support, pre-purchase or after-sales must be able to provide information without delay, not only to those who are looking for it but also in the places where people gather (sites, blogs, forums).
 Digital makes us agile.
Remember what it once meant to prepare a folder with documents, prints and go to the post office for shipment? Digital has made us a bit more agile, allowing us to store everything on a CD. The Internet has speeded up the process, skipping the physical shipment. As you can see, the changes are rapid and if you are able to adapt you remain active in the market.
To stay afloat in modern markets you must also adapt to the specific needs of potential customers and this need requires companies to know the user, weaving multimedia reports useful to obtain a whole series of data to be analyzed through predictive and adaptive systems typical of the digitization of the modern economy.
 Millennials and generation Z.
Those who were born after the 80s, grown to nutella and digital, are demanding with the market but at the same time can bring their skills within companies. They are the closest in age and culture to the Z generation, people born in the second half of the 90's, almost digital natives, grown only with new technologies and represent the market of the future.
 Production system.
The production system needs to be changed. With digital tools it is possible to keep track of every single step in the production process, monitor critical points and interface with the customer even after the sale, to continue to meet his needs and retain him.
 I Big Data.
With new technologies you can receive big data, information obtained by analyzing the behavior of a user during his online activities. The amount of data generated is enormous: from telephones to credit cards, from television to App stores, from intelligent city infrastructures to parking sensors, on public or private transport.
All this data can be classified, analyzed, extracted for a given sector and get valuable information that has a greater value than just raw data.

There is also a eleventh reason why it is worthwhile to proceed with the digitalization of your company and is represented by the tax incentives or facilitation measures for micro, small and medium enterprises, aimed at the adoption of interventions of digitization of business processes and technological modernization.
